When it comes to religion in schools, children deserve a broad, objective, and pluralistic approach. It's important that they are given the chance to form their own beliefs. RE should not simply be a tool to teach religion as fact.

This ruling leaves no defensible case for a school system that pushes one religion on children simply because it has always done so. And while the news concerns NI, the reasoning applies across the UK, where laws still require daily worship, and where RE is not always guaranteed to be pluralistic.
