I understand it probably felt cool to add a 3D element to it but just because you CAN move the camera around doesn’t mean it’s the best choice and no matter which side I move my map around to it feels like at least 70% of the board is being obscured. Just way too many tall elements covering things.

The fact that corporations have been working very hard to find loopholes to not pay residuals or include contract small print to wave artists’ rights away, means that there are in fact copyright laws that protect small artists from corporations which is why they have to work to circumvent them.

Ok but the big obvious way copyright helped Alex Hirsch in the situation is that Disney had to pay him for his characters to own the rights at some point. They couldn’t just listen to his show pitch, not pay him and then make the show anyway because no artist is allowed to own any level of their art
