I seriously think the opening 20 minutes of Serenity should be studied as a showcase of how to expertly explain an already established world, the character relationships, and archetypes, all whilst introducing the villain and the driving narrative. Perfect 👌

The way that Ep pulled together and then exploded about 6 disparate storylines via the form of a GREAT musical episode was genius. Also, the songs fucking slap 🤘

It’s wild how much Spotify throttles your tastes through its algorithms. It feels like 16yo Nick, with just his CD collection to choose from had much broader listening habits than nearly-40yo Nick with the unlimited choices of Spotify.

Some of them are particularly good. The less said about my “Grunge Mix” CD with Staind, Puddle of Mudd and Creed on it the better 😅
