Just back from helping out at our local #RepairCafe. Mostly looking into electronics issues. I'm struck with the way most devices are over-complicated and almost impossible to repair

I've put #Kubuntu #linux on an old laptop. With chrome-remote-desktop I could tuck it away as a server and remote in from my #Chromebook.
Since the upgrade to 24.10, it says "no audio devices" when accessed remotely, but ok when logged in to directly.
Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?
