In the original book, it served a similar purpose, but it was discarded pretty quickly by Aslan in the following chapter as a quick lesson about greed.
Whereas in the movie, Eustace remaining a dragon for the majority of the film gave him a reason to step up to the plate and frankly grow up.

I really want a Poison type Pokémon character who is just...exactly like Klara from Pokémon Sword. She is the perfect representation of the Poison type for me due to her overtly toxic personality, and I just...gotta have someone like that in my canon. Someone who I just love to despise so much.

You know, just on a whim, I was checking Bulbapedia's list of Pokémon onomatopoeias, and I just happened to see this.

And the funniest part of that glow-up is that they just went back to the 70's design during the Will Ferrell 2009 remake of Land of the Lost. Which seems like a step backwards, but the CG in the movie does do a good job making them look better.

I dunno, that main "nice" Genesect was a sweetheart, and I wanted to dedicate a character to that. Also, Genesect inflation is another pretty rare one, so I would love to try and contribute to that, even if trying to work past both metal and bug anatomy would be challenging.
