I agree, but it is still surprising to see someone do it in their shitty Ford Escape. Thanks for taking time out of your thanksgiving holiday to "um actually" me about it, though.

Brexit pre-dates Trump, but you can draw back to Tea Party movements if you want. I'm not being 100% serious in my remarks and I don't believe the US is directly responsible for the rise of the global right, but British political discourse post-2016 has been weirdly shaped by US talking points.

I'm more referring to the fact that British political elite are essentially cargo-culting American political talking points post-Brexit. This is occurring mostly amongst the British right (since they're intellectually bankrupt) but the current Labor government is not immune either.
