I've become very predictable in that my current favourite type of character is a pathetic man who is just A Guy with stubble and sad eyes. But how do I explain that I'm not attracted to these men, I don't want to be WITH them, I don't want to BE them - I just want to put them in a box and study them

He's my sweet disaster boy and also the reason I now have a blue morpho tattoo 👍 I'm very normal about him and I'm also very excited to be currently reworking him for my original novel, so you'll see a lot more of him soon!

I just talk a lot about my OCs and about doing commissions 🕺 If you follow me for a day or more you'll hear me yelling about at least one of those things. But genuinely I have NO idea how to encourage engagement on most social media at this point. Tumblr and instagram are completely beyond me

All this talk of people changing social media has got me thinking about how I've been posting my art online for 20 years, and yet I still have absolutely no idea how to actually Get Engagement other than just not shutting up 🫠 That's the only advice I can ever give

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.
