I think this article makes a good point. We need to keep a cool head and stay informed what the incoming administration can and cannot do. If we cause doom and hysteria, then we are just following part of their agenda (e.g., scaring undocumented people into leaving).

According to the polls, the German AfD (the German MAGA) has about 20%. In a two party system this would mean that they would almost control the conservatives (because 20% is almost half of 50%) and possibly get elected into office. Luckily Germany is a parliamentary democracy.
