While my position on this issue hasn't changed and I do think it is a complex issue that ought not be sloganized, the more I read and find stuff out about the Nakba, plan Dalet, etc., the harder it is for me to empathize with anyone who thinks that what's happening in Gaza is anything but genocide.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

Today I saw a cybertruck face to face for the first time and man that thing is ugly. It truly looks like something someone put together in their garage. Made me think of Geoff from Top Gear.

104% tariffs on imports from China goes into effect at midnight tonight.

My most recent game quote from a major US manufacturer? 470% of the per-unit cost in China, ~3000% higher set-up costs, MOQ 5x higher.

So China is STILL more viable than the US (but not more viable than some other countries)
So I'm seeing the question on tariffs pop up again. I have managed production for boardgames for over a decade. I regularly get quotes from the US, China, and occasionally other countries. No, the proposed tariffs won't move game manufacturing to the US.

TL;DR - tariffs are paid by consumers

In the far future humanity becomes extinct but leave robots behind. The aliens come with robots of their own. Human robots wage war on the alien robots in the name of humanity. Eventually aliens also become extinct. Alien and human robots keep fighting until they have an existential crisis
What's your favorite piece of media that sounds ridiculous if described? Mine: "It's a song that starts as a sentimental expression of regret but gradually reveals the speaker to be incapable of anything but selfishness and destruction ... by a vampire ... in a failed musical comedy ...

Apparently an experience I don't seem to share with outer autistic people is April Fool's. As someone who has to figure whether to take someone literally or both having the calendar being a huge context clue makes it easier and more enjoyable to appreciate the humor.

Recently I've been going on long walks and whenever I was in a bad mood, the walk seemed to help. But now it seems that my bad mood is able to sustain itself through those walks. I wish I was as resilient as my bad mood.

So I made a quasi-controversial post showing how ChatGPT committed heresy when asked about a certain religious doctrine. I anticipated some backlash from Christians but I had a couple of nice chats with them. It was the ChatGPT cultists that were truly awful.

I hate the fact that people who was raised by parents who fully immunized them, and grew up just fine are choosing to stop immunizing their children. There is an outbreak of Whooping Cough. Whooping freaking Cough.

So an asteroid might be heading towards earth and in case of an impact it would likely hit the ocean or somewhere in central American central Africa or India. Even in cosmic cataclysm the global south gets the short end of the stick.
