But keep in mind that ERF for the IMO2020 shipping cap has large uncertainties (as for aerosol ERF in general) related specifically to cloud adjustments, emission uncertainties and uncertainties in the sulfur cycle.

The reduction in anthropogenic sulfur emissions over the last decades overwhelms the 1-year drop in shipping emissions in 2020, including over the oceanic regions.
