Oh this is amazing. For many Americans, it’s factory jobs for thee, but not for me

In my tiny western Massachusetts town, our #USPS is the most accessible and reliable way to send and receive packages and correspondence as well as a host of other services (passport applications, for example). Losing USPS would be disastrous for our rural community.
Let’s call it as it is: Trump, Musk, Louis DeJoy, and their billionaire pals are trying to end the US Postal Service as we know it. I’m proud to be in solidarity with APWU and all our postal unions in fighting to save the Postal Service.

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
The average person with the flu gives it to around 1.4 people. The average person with measles gives it to between 12 and 18 people.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.
