@welch.senate.gov this article says you are considering taking the GOP’s/Trump’s “assurances”. Trump hasn’t good on his word his entire life. The shutdown is demonstrating for all his “let them eat cake” cruelty. Only way toward ending the cruelty is to make him own it. Do not let him off the hook.
