ICE snowflakes are scared of … guns?
So much for Trump’s support of the Second Amendment.
Come on, America, say it:

In the 1990’s, NRA referred to the Clinton Admin’s “jackbooted thugs”. We have jackbooted thugs now, led by Trump, Noem, Bovino, et al. NRA is not wrong here, at least not this time. The 2nd Amendment protects not just those on the right from unhinged governments. It protects *all* of us from that.
When you lose the NRA …

I’m not necessarily a big fan of Bill Cassidy - he screwed us with RFK Jr. - but he is 100X better than his GOP primary opponent, Julia Getlow. If you are a D, an I, or a sane R in La. and can vote in the primary, please vote Cassidy. A critical small step in potentially disarming the Orange Menace.
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) expressed concern about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) reputation following another fatal shooting in Minnesota.

“Freedom is not free. We have to work at it.”
RIP Alex Pretti. Thank you for your great sacrifice to the cause of freedom.

It. Must. Stop.
Under Secretary Noem, ICE is no longer about immigration enforcement. It's about terrorizing communities.

Noem must go.

Congress must stop giving even more money to this agency on a rampage.

Truly sad how Target cowers at the Orange Fuhrer. You can’t figure out why your numbers have tanked? Your customers are *pissed*. You really think standing up to him would be worse? No, a big, very public fuck you to Trump - especially in your MN home base - would do wonders to help to win us back.

I favor millionaire players over billionaire owners, every day of the week. Oligarch owners must go down! They provide no value added to the game. Players provide the labor, and the biggest part of the capital investment - the stadiums - the greedy owners have extorted from the taxpayers.
The union is gonna kill baseball! Salaries are gonna go out of control! Team will go bankrupt!

56 year old story at the bottom.

“JD” Vance says MN is breaking law by not cooperating with federal law enforcement. He must have been doing something with his couch when they covered Printz v. US (SCOTUS 1997) @ Yale Law: states not obligated to assist federal gov’t. Even Clarence “Free RV” Thomas signed onto the majority opinion.

“For years I asked coaches what they planned to do better in the 2nd half of games and that skillset prepared me to make laws and be a functional cog in our democracy.”

The EU called. They said there was an obnoxious rambling old man at the WEF in Davos. He kept talking about Greenland, or Iceland. He really didn’t seem to be sure. They said he belongs to us and asked if we could take him home. We also might need to bring some Depends. Ughh.
McGovern: Well, he said a lot of crazy shit today. I think it’s time to take the keys away from grandpa. He doesn’t seem like he’s all there.

Thankfully, Judge left her no choice. He did not impose discipline, basically saying she was too incompetent to punish, but put her on notice going forward, so he would next time. She quit to save her law license. Attorney disciplinary process is a key guardrail against this administration’s abuses.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Virginia US attorney Lindsey Halligan, who sought indictments against Trump adversaries, is leaving her position.

Indeed. Greenland in 2026 is analogous to Czechoslovakia in 1938. Appeasement then did NOT end well. Nor will appeasement now. If anyone thinks Trump will stop at Greenland I suppose they also think that giving him Greenland will result in “peace in our time”, Neville.
We need a European leader or two right now to publicly tell Trump to fuck off. Our European allies need to quit appeasing Trump. And flattering him. They need to stand up to him. They need to punch him in the face. Today’s show.👇 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

All states need to follow Maine’s lead, but the two states that most need to do this are the two next to DC, that probably get the most requests: MD & VA. How about it

A World Cup boycott could succeed … but has to come with the players, and not the politicians, leading support for it. Every nation in Europe and in the Americas - the largest share of World Cup nations - should feel threatened by the US under Trump and absolutely should send a message in response.
Honestly boycotting the World Cup would be the most effective and probably the least disruptive of all of the options available to Europe. I’m not sure how you can send teams and fans to contribute to a spectacle designed entirely to celebrate a guy trying to invade your territory.

As with the Greenland situation, call your Senators and Representatives - whether D’s or R’s - to let them know you *will* hold them accountable at the ballot box if they don’t rein in ICE’s thuggery.
The political ground is shifting on ICE. Your own Dem rep or senator may not have caught up yet. Now - before the 1/30 funding deadline - is the time to push.
Arizona’s @gallego.senate.gov : "I think ICE needs to be totally torn down… People want immigration enforcement that goes after criminals, not the goon squad that has come from Stephen Miller and Trump."
January 19, 2026 at 1:12 PM
Everyone needs to *call* - calls weigh most heavily - their Senators and Representatives - whether D’s or R’s - to let them know they must stand up to Trump’s imperialist threats against our NATO allies. Remind them their electoral future and, more importantly, our collective future, depends on it.
Republicans in the Senate know damn well this needs to stop and Trump needs to go.

They’ve come to get the immigrants.
They’ve come to get the schools.
They’ve come to get James Comey, Letitia James, Mark Kelly & Elissa Slotkin.
They’ve come to get Renee Good.
They’ve come to get Renee Good’s wife.
And they’ve come to get so many others.
Why do we think they won’t come to get us?
January 17, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Hmm, one more hint that the Trump Administration is starting to get scared that maybe just maybe “affordability” isn’t a word made up by Dems after all.
January 17, 2026 at 3:32 AM
Trump’s people (Stephen Miller et al.) know that the SS and the Gestapo, and not the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe, were much more reliable tools for carrying out atrocities and so in the same way are empowering ICE, CBP, and the FBI, more so than the military.
GOP congress is entirely responsible for EVERYTHING awful that happens. THey could stop this madness in a day. Yet, they chose not to. How is this not treason??
