It was interesting how Owen Jones talked almost nonstop. There was hardly any conversation between the two.

Just read the history. I didn’t know they had it either. I remember hearing the name when I was a kid, but I always thought it was just x86.

"15 years ago, Polish workers came here to find opportunity. Now Poland is growing twice as fast as we are," says Kemi Badenoch.

Any ideas what may have happened in the interim?

NEW: Germany opposes mass scanning of private messages.

"must be taboo in a constitutional state"

"even the worst crimes don't justify giving up basic civil rights"

Well said Minister Stefanie Hubig!

Leadership we need from Europe's democracies.
www.bmjv.de/SharedDocs/Z...
Dr. Stefanie Hubig, Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, on the occasion of political discussions about privacy in the digital space and about a proposal for an EU regulation to prevent and combat sexual abuse

„Unreasonable chat control must be taboo in a constitutional state. Private communication must never be under general suspicion.“

08. October 2025

„Unreasonable chat control must be taboo in a constitutional state. Private communication must never be under general suspicion. The state must also not force messengers to scan messages en masse for suspicious content before sending them. Germany will not agree to such proposals at EU level. We must also make progress in the fight against child pornography at EU level. That's what I'm committed to. But even the worst crimes do not justify giving up basic civil rights. The federal government's votes have insisted on this for months. And it will stay that way.“

It's turtles all the way down.

It can, in a way, be resolved by this. I’m just being tenacious here.
added text: a reference to a man or a woman is construed as a reference to a person
reactiveashley.bsky.social
There is still a problem tho. The Equality Act, according to the Supreme Court, does not contain any reference to a woman or a man. The relevant words therein refer not to people, but to certain purposes that the court devised but never specified.

Should I add this...?

I'm obviously trying very hard to make sure the law departs from “biological sex” without using the phrase itself.
added highlighted text:

(3)	Subsection (2) shall cease to have effect if, in the application of the Equality Act 2010, a reference to a woman is construed as including a reference to a trans woman, and a reference to a man is construed as including a reference to a trans man.

Still drafting a City of London Corporation (Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds) Bill. Is this strong enough? Or should I go further.
3	The existing practices of trans inclusion
(1)	The Corporation must preserve the existing practices under which all women are welcome to swim at the Kenwood Ladies’ Bathing Pond and all men are welcome to swim at the Highgate Men's Bathing Pond.
(2)	Nothing in this section is to be construed as importing the meaning of gender or sex given by the Equality Act 2010.

4	Further exceptions to the Equality Act 2010
(1)	Section 29 of the Equality Act 2010, so far as relating to sex discrimination, does not apply to anything done for the purpose of ensuring the inclusion, enjoyment, or recreation of a person who is transgender at the bathing ponds on Hampstead Heath.
(2)	Section 29 of the Equality Act 2010, so far as relating to sex discrimination, does not apply to the provision of toilets, changing rooms, or showering facility at the bathing ponds on Hampstead Heath.
(3)	Section 29 of the Equality Act 2010, so far as relating to sex discrimination, does not apply to preparing, making or considering of a byelaw having effect in relation to Hampstead Heath.

A grim thread.

Conversion therapists at the Oslo gender clinic stole children’s journals and used them to write a junk paper claiming to link the supposed rise in trans men with self-harm.

It echoes Cass.

Oslo University Hospital caught using trans patients' journals for research purposes:
- Without the patients' consent to participate in research
- Affecting minors
- 1700 of them
- Taking highly sensitive information from said journals

This is a HUGE breach.
