Truth be told, marriage had to grow on me.
I didn’t see healthy marriages growing up & I had no perception that we’d be the exception to the rule.
My dating life (as was growing up in general) was a lot of “not that”…doing the opposite of what I saw others do to get different outcomes

“I was young, I was immature” and women accept them back.
But a woman? She should have known even if she was the same age and the same maturity level.

Actually still liking your spouse after almost a decade together, seeing each other’s worst moments, growing pains, having children, and just going through life is such a beautiful thing. I’m very thankful to have that.

Agreed. The issue is I believe you shouldn't have to KEEP teaching them. And you DEFINITELY shouldn't have to argue with them over what makes you feel loved.
