Sounds like a big deal. But, when you take into account those already barred by existing screening for domestic abusers and predators, the number of ICE agents affected by such a law would actually be pretty low.

No, these people don't care about finding reasonable middle ground. Any concession you offer them will be seen as a sign of weakness.

This has always been the "heads I win, tails you lose" proposition of the 2a crowd, where people of color forfit their right to legal protection from murder if they choose to exercise their right to bear arms. Now that class is expanding to include white people who oppose white supremacy.

The load-bearing example for this theory of impeachment-aversion is based on a single, plainly bad faith impeachment in the '90s, that was led by a guy who was caught literally Newt Gingriching his own wife at the time.

No evidence it carries over to impeachments for cause.
