and I think it's strength could be in attracting those who are not currently participating in the political process but maybe it'd pick up some of those anti-system reform voters but being more idolocally obvious then like say the greens, they might struggle
May 12, 2025 at 10:02 PM
you'd get that youth vote which I think still sees him as the standard bearer for progressive politics in this country, how much of the reform vote it'd pick up idk I suspect considering how little youth support they have I suspect crossover support would be minimal

Groups and people in Preston and Tyneside. I'd guess most of the support nationally would come from dissolutioned Labour voters, leftists currently finding a home in the greens but also left wing voters who stayed at home last time and obviously with Corbyn possibly leading it
May 12, 2025 at 10:02 PM
with a number of the left independents/smalled left parties such as the community independents in Liverpool to bring together these groupings into one national organisation so I'd guess initially it'd play off its local strengths with groupings in London obviously but also with

Tbh I don't think it'd entirally be draw from the ind alliance, I've a feeling over the next year somethings going to be established with or by Corbyn nationally. Just keeping an eye on his speeches and movements over the past couple of weeks he seems to be engaging
May 12, 2025 at 10:02 PM
So true and many people are saying this

Forgot to add this

And even then he's losing to Sunak and Johnson who were Prime Ministers and savvy social media operators in their own rights
May 12, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Though I do think it's interesting how Corbyn is still one of the most followed accounts on most other platforms even now, like he's the 2nd or 3rd most followed politician on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and beats Farage in terms of followers on all of them even now
May 12, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Also Reichinneks tiktoks are so well produced in a way that I don't really kinda any British politician had matched
May 12, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Tbh I think the issue with Corbyn and Sultana is that their content is mostly just clips of their speeches to parliament which don't really have the same theatrical visuals which even the German parliament has
May 12, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Just thought I'd have a look at this after reading that guardian article, tbh the Left in this country should really be doing better on there
May 12, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Ngl i haven't seen that interview though I don't really watch newsnight that much these days but ill try and seek it out, do wonder how much of a divide there is in the scg there is these days and how much contact Corbyn still had with them
May 11, 2025 at 12:16 PM
And tbf from interviews I've seen of him over the past year he doesn't seem too bad and alsp he wouldn't necessarily have to lead the party into an election just give it the initial publicity for setting up the party and establishing it
