I guess I haven't tried it? Seems bad, like hard to frame. One of my main things is having Ss drop tennis balls filled with different amounts of sand out a window and filming it from outside. Not sure where they would put the laptop.

I truly feel like not enough people have a strong understanding of the inanity of generative AI. I just don't get how people find it useful.

To be fair the word "negligible" should really just be "neglectable" - like why, English

Some of my students aren't comfortable with compression when the air doesn't have a surface to speak of. I really think if you're following your kids it's "right" and I wanted to share a slightly different take we had

Well we're definitely not saying that! It's Fth(air) on cart. We talk about which way the fan is pushing and which way the air is pushing with frequent reference to the time a student threw a bowling ball at me while sitting in a rolly chair. (This is a @fnoschese.bsky.social conceptual sequence)

You call it Fn(air) huh? We've been adding a flavor Fth which is present when there's a fan, turbine, or rocket engine that's on. I find it useful to have students articulate that air can only ever exert a force if there's something like that pushing on it. (Until we need to add drag, anyway)

Many people think it will be "easier" not to do a real lesson but I think students actually prefer the structure of a normal day. This also applies to after disasters and other adverse events etc
