Most of the world was homophobic back then. It took Rock Hudson’s death & Elizabeth Taylor’s love along with Princess Diana to trigger the broad social start to change it. So many others as well. Too many to list here. Reagan was just the mirror of the US then. I worry Trump is that mirror now. 😞
