I interviewed Rob Reiner as one of the bonuses for the @criterion.bsky.social BluRay of SPINAL TAP. We talked for an hour about the movie and his career and then they shut off the cameras and we talked about movies for another hour. A delightful, unhurried genius.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.

I saw 'This is Spinal Tap' in the theater, on a date. My 1st thought on hearing about it: "A film directed by Rob Reiner? The 'All in the Family guy?'" Of course it was beyond funny & perfect & copied hundreds of times, a blueprint for how to do that specific thing & he was just getting started RIP

I am devastated to learn of the passing of Rob Reiner and his wife. "Defending My Life" has always been my go-to answer for my favorite film. Conquering fear is the best way to approach existence, it changed who i am. I know they won't need to look at any days, they're moving right on ahead.
