you have to understand that the audience for cbs news, cnn, and other legacy media platforms isn’t young people, it’s old ppl, specifically meant to help old ppl feel like they’re in the conversation with young people - that’s it

This is similar thinking to “They’re homeless, why do they have a cellphone?”

if you love Christmas carols, you should have to listen to "Sleigh Ride" by the Ronettes every day in December a number of times according to the date (e.g., 12x on the 12th, 24x on the 24th), AND the song gets slightly faster each day

Fell asleep at two different showings of Mars Attacks like a week or two apart
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Best: I watched Coming to America as a kid with my dad in a second-run theater. At the end of the bath scene/right after “The royal penis is clean, your highness” line, a man sitting up front stands up and shouts “That’s what I’m talking about!”

Also: Sitting in the back of the theater for Life Aquatic and about halfway through, a guy sitting towards the front walks back to a few rooms behind him and slaps a cell phone out of another guy’s hand while he’s talking on it. The caller gets up, walks out, and never returns.

Completely stoned out of my gourd at 16 and seeing Birdcage in a second-run theater without knowing anything about it. The end of the opening scene when the dancers came off stage blew my mind.

This not a knock on the Os, but imo they are not any closer to a WS championship with Alonso. As a GM, I don't think I would try to sign a player who is seemingly more committed to money than winning it all.
