It was also a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow recently elected City Council members & Mayors from #CheneyWA & across the region. Connecting with people who are tackling similar issues in their communities provides invaluable perspective.

It was great to run into friends from #CheneyWA and #EasternWashingtonUniversity, and even better to see our Cheney community well-represented — including Rosa's Pizza taking home Best Local Cheney Business!

In the last two decades, no recount in #SpokaneCounty has changed the outcome of an election and we are confident our result will also remain the same. The recount should take about 15 min on Tuesday and will be recertified on Wednesday.

Recounts are an important validation step in our election process, though they rarely change the outcome. In the last 2 decades, no recount has changed the result of an election in Spokane County, even in races much closer than this.
