It’s all just a tradeoff and I think having our brand immediately used for scams is worse on many dimensions for our newsroom

It just won’t accomplish removing our content from the platform (other people pipe our RSS there!) and it will create the opportunity to be impersonated. Tradeoffs all the way down

Being worried about where our RSS feed ends up is a little pointless after all this time, it’s everywhere

It’s just another RSS endpoint for us - if we drop it we’ll cede the account to imposters

they both kick out apps under that guideline all the time!

I mean, there are Apple and Google ads on the site all the time! I think you are just noticing this because it's slightly unexpected
