Life’s too short for boring vinyl.
I finally have the right number of records to not have any blank spots at the bottom!

I remember Fat Mike asking in an interview what a guest’s favorite ska/punk band was and that there was only one right answer and it was Op Ivy. Didn’t even let the guest TRY to answer.

Sometimes I think I should keep a log with what I listen to and when so I could see my own stats but I won’t. It feels like it would make this into something resembling a job and, as much as I like data, I can’t risk it. I did it with books and it almost killed recreational reading for me.

The album I listened to most* from this year is almost certainly Hellbilly Deluxe, but it’s been a great year of finding new (to me) bands like Raging Nathans, The Slow Death, Houseghost, and The Kilograms (RIP).

4/5 of those are Rad Girlfriend bands, too! It’s a label you should pay attention to!

A classic Christmas album, but it shines best when they go slow and depressing like with “Pretty Paper.”

This is a personal bias, though. I love the bittersweet Christmas songs. Slow, depressing, and wallowing in hope for better times in the future. That’s my jam.

I’m guessing second week of Jan. I’m very excited about them.

Man oh man, I sure do love how long it takes for mail to get here in Germany. 🙄

That it does. It’s a bunch of sellers catering to flippers but that market crashes where the faithful would net slower profits but MORE STEADY profits.

$60 for audiophile stuff? Fine. One HUNDRED dollars? I feel like at that point anyone who buys it is telling execs that this is where the price point should be.

So I recommend when it comes to stuff like this to absolutely hit up the “record shop” Collector’s Choice and pick it up for $60(ish).
