Great list. I love seeing Skul as I feel it doesn't get talked about enough. The Void Rains Upon Her Heart was new to me though. To the wishlist!

Works for me. Except the falling. Environmental deaths in Soulslikes are the ultimate shame trophy. You survive some grueling fight by a sliver of health, and then you roll off a ledge. Good times.

Thank you! I'm always leery about the multiple playthrough thing because it's one thing to commit to a game but another thing entirely for multiple plays. The way they did makes you want to, though. You can appreciate this: it's like getting that one upgrade in a roguelite - you HAVE to go try it.

Ah ok. I know it's a shorter game (20ish hours), so hopefully it keeps me entertained that long.

I'm only in the factory area in the beginning. If that's the whole setting, definitely going to get bored. I just liked that every path so far had a branching path. I used dual swords in the demo so I probably should have switched it up to compare.

Gameplay is fast overall but I needed faster so I chose the dual blades as my weapon. It definitely is a soulslike but there is still its own game. For starters, there is no recovery of lost items on death. I actually like this as I don't HAVE to go right back to where I died. Lots to explore.
