And yeah it’s a really obvious example of “heartstrings” once you stop and think about it. That’s one of our best defenses against misinfo I think. Learn to temporarily pause emotions to look at something with a bit of detachment.

I admit I didn’t notice it at first myself. Just scrolling, absentmindedly watching video, exactly as whoever made it prob expected. Then I saw people saying it’s really AI. So I went back and watched it again much more closely and then noticed several suspicious things.

the person who used AI to make this. It’s just another example of using emotion to distract people from detailed, nuanced critical thinking.)

not notice logical inconsistencies, at least at first. It’s the same tactic that right-wing propaganda uses to get people to hate on those who are a little different than them instead of the rich billionaire and landlord class holding all of us down. (I of course don’t know the politics of…

11. Give asylum to people who need to escape the Trump regime. Not only for humanitarian reasons, but for practical ones. A lot of good engineers, healthcare workers, teachers, scientists, etc would probably love to get out of the US, and the EU will need more talented & experienced people…

Our nation may have been proud once, but it’s been doing stuff like this for generations. The US manufactured excuses to invade Iraq and Vietnam, and stole all kinds of land from Native Americans with operations just like this (except w/ soldiers on horseback instead of in a chopper)

9. New Hampshire has become a case study rebutting the idea that surrendering on transgender rights slows Republican attacks or protects Democrats politically; neither claim has been borne out.

Now, trans people must fight again in the state for their basic rights in 2026.
