But, just bc these things correlate, does not necessarily mean that one directly influence the other. 2/

1) That doesn't answer the question I asked
2) Correlation is not causation.

One might also argue the increased depression/ suicide rates could be attributed to the division sown into the country by Trump bc of how he has given a voice to white supremacists and bigots, among other things. 1/

Okay, so would you consider someone found civily liable of sexually assaulting a woman a "violent criminal"?
December 1, 2024 at 8:19 AM
While in the meantime, Americans - children specifically - are being murdered by the dozens? I feel like it's pretty urgent we implement measures that would create immediate results, rather than shift focus to the larger systematic issues that we should already be addressing in the mean time. 2/

Your solutions are great long term solution, but they are complex, nuanced, and will inevitably take time and resources to implement.
HOW are you going to go about:
-reducing poverty
-increasing access to mental health care
-Eliminating the US (i.e. global) drug trade
And so on 1/

Alright so what do you propose we do? Bc clearly whatever we are doing now is not a net benefit to our society.

All the more reason to require safety training classes that teach gun owners how to discuss firearm safety w/ their children in a developmentally appropriate.

And how to store firearms in such a way that children won't be able to get to them.

Common sense gun reform.

Mandatory background checks, private sales included
Red flag laws
Mandatory waiting period
Mandatory safety training on how to use/maintain/store weapons
Ban on high capacity assault weapons
Increase age restrictions to 21+

Whatever it is, we can't just not do anything.

2/Which makes sense, seeing how many regulations we have in place regarding cars.

You have to take classes to learn how to use them safely, pass a test for a license that you then have to renew yearly, & can have revoked for improper use of a vehicle. As a result, we've seen these death rates drop
December 1, 2024 at 1:00 AM
Are you saying that we ought to be careful with what we say on social media, bc most people will take it literally?

I agree, that's why we also shouldn't source data from 2018 just bc it supports our argument. The most recent data (2022) shows gun violence beating out motorvehicle accidents
December 1, 2024 at 12:55 AM
It's a figure of speech, buddy. Now, you want to answer the question? If laws are ineffective ways of preventing gun violence, why are we the only developed nation that has gun violence as the number one cause of death among children?

Cool dude, this isn't an airport. You don't need to announce your departure ✌️

Insinuating every tall person throughout history was suffering from a hormonal imbalance is wild. Yeah, people with gigantism were. But there are plenty of factors that influence your height other than hormones.
November 30, 2024 at 9:02 PM
Lol I'm not "trying to control you." If anything, you're the one trying to force an end to this discussion. You can always just stop replying?

Imma keep responding to some of the outrageous implications you've been making though, like how all tall people are resultant from hormonal imbalances??
November 30, 2024 at 8:57 PM
Tf? Lol
November 30, 2024 at 8:40 PM
Right, endogenous hormones. So... naturally.

Crazy that people can just grow to be abnormally tall, so sometimes, huh?

This whole argument is so stupid though. There's thousands of verifiable things you could criticize about trump, you don't even have to make them up friend!
November 30, 2024 at 8:38 PM
People can still fall at either ends of the spectrum without intervention on their hormones 👍

It may be anomalous, but so are twins. And they're born everyday.
November 30, 2024 at 8:36 PM
Which is why you should focus on his actual victims and wrongdoings instead of making victims out of his family members without any kind of substantial evidence beyond conjecture.

Or you could call out the gender affirming care he uses for himself (ED pills, hair plugs, etc).
November 30, 2024 at 8:32 PM
I mean, I have enough backbone to call out someone making baseless accusations about a teenager bc of the way his body looks. And I've never applied any kind of apologetic rhetoric here. Trump is a vile human being who deserves to be condemned for the things he's done wrong.
November 30, 2024 at 8:27 PM
I mean, if "playing nice" means sticking to the verifiable evidence, then yeah.

Trump has used all kinds of baseless accusations to vilify parents to trans folks, so your response is to make up baseless accusations against him? How are you going to criticize him & then go and use the same tactics?
November 30, 2024 at 8:25 PM
Yeah, I know how bell curves work. And that people can naturally fall at extreme ends of them. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is 4"9. Just because it is atypical doesn't mean it can't happen.

Do you think that every single person who is atypically tall got that way bc of HGH?
November 30, 2024 at 8:20 PM
Once again, your only hard evidence is their height?

So bc Trump is an insecure crook who has tall kids, he clearly forced HGH on them? I think Occam and his razor would find quite a few holes in this explanation, buddy.
