I'm a galah, keep your expectations low. I'm a species of cockatoo and flap around Naarm in south east "Australia". Galahs don't have cops, bosses, kings, queens or presidents. 🏴
Yes an ebike has its danger but at least that is almost exclusively to the rider. The ridiculous cars people drive are a danger to everyone else. That would warrant more concern from people if we weren't car-brained.

You realise that the protection is only required to protect you from a car right?
November 10, 2025 at 9:54 AM
I'm not buying my teenager an ebike but if you drive a car it's silly to talk about their danger. Car drivers kill over 1000 people a year through direct collisions and 10s of thousands through pollution in Oz. And seriously reduce childhood mobility.

Historically, the crime level is very low and honest reporting on crime would provide that context. It could be lower but police and PSOs aren't the answer.

Violent crime is near the all time low with a long term decline since at least the 70s. Homicide (best proxy for all violent crime) is falling long term but some years will see "increases". Don't fall for the copaganda

If you are in a party with some fascists, you're in a fascist party.
November 2, 2025 at 9:54 AM
The most concerning element is how quickly our civil society institutions join the fascists. This is inevitable when they rely so heavily on philanthropy and private investment and have no democratic structures.

Yep, that also makes it sound like you're in a cult, but keep digging if you like.
October 5, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Unlike people, Countries don't have a right to exist. Only someone in a cult would think that.

Australia's civil society orgs have mostly just cancelled people who speak out against genocide. The genocide has shown us how corrupt/spineless/captured our human rights amd social services sector is.
September 26, 2025 at 1:29 PM
It's a weirdly ignorant statement. Biden was in power when Israel accelerated the genocide (its not a
Trump thing) and the "two state solution" has been just a pretext for Zionist expansion and ethnic cleansing going back to at least Bill Clinton's presidency.

Main gripe: statements without context. "must have democratic elections" despite this happening previously and Palestinian's being punished for how they voted. And "PA must recognise Israel" as if the PA aren't israeli stooges or that this has been a sticking point in any prior negotiations

Capitalism: were rich because capitalism
Also capitalism: we're too poor to fix anything
September 20, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Yeah we should tax the rich but we don't even need to do that to fix the housing crisis. We are massively more wealthy than we were in 1945 so building a few hundred thousand public housing dwellings is trivial.
September 20, 2025 at 11:17 PM
In the decade after WWII Australia built nearly 100,000 public housing dwellings, but now we're apparently much poorer.

No one mourning Kirk disagrees with political violence - they love political violence against the poor, queer people, those with more melanin etc - they just don't like it when they might be the victim.

The most glaring problem in the analysis is the idea that the US has no influence. The US can stop Israel any time they want, obviously, but Israel is serving their purpose.
