Our reaction to #Budget2026
Our members will be hit by the extended freeze in the income tax threshold. We welcome the scrapping of the 2-child limit but more must be done on the cost-of-living crisis and on the unfairness of our tax system.

💥Sources confirms that PIP reform WILL need a vote in parliament order to change the assessment criteria.

Some changes will be very hard for Labour MPs to bear - it will mean only the most severely disabled, who routinely need help with washing and toilet use can claim.

NEW - Kendall confirms PIP changes will need legislation.

The change will mean scoring at least a 4 on the "daily living" element of PIP - which covers some elements of washing, cooking and reminders to use the toilet.

Expected to save £5bn
