I also have some degree of hope that our kids are more media savvy and a little better at realizing when they are being lied to, but… I wish I was more confident about that.

This is why I think we need to make sure people’s needs are met well enough so they can’t be manipulated by their fears and anger like this.

This is why I think we need to make sure people’s needs are met well enough so they can’t be manipulated by their fears and anger like this.

I don’t want to be a doomer about it, but soberly… I have concerns about our ability as a nation to resist a Trump 2.0 personality in 4-12 years that does the same exact policies but with less obvious moral issues and narcissistic chaos for baggage.

You’re totally right, and unfortunately, many of them are still failing the test.
And as a test about unfit, immoral leaders… let’s face it: this was easy mode. This was the one guy that had so, so, so many reasons to support literally anyone else… and he got two terms and still hints at a third.

I think the bigger issue is, why can’t we just eat both kinds all the time? Who says we can’t have canned cranberries at the 4th of July cookout? Why is eggs a breakfast food? Why can’t we… uh… *+%! … sorry, gotta go. They found me again. You’ll never taaaaake me, foood poliiice!
