FOX NEWS IDIOT: If you thought the masked "Former Antifa Member" Jesse Watters had on last week looked familiar, there's a reason for that... #omg...He was also the masked "former gang member" and masked "Gaza resident" Watters had previously interviewed […]

This is no surprise to left-wingers, but the bigger problem now is that Starmer and his centrist sensibles are still pretending to be on the left, and unless they come clean or stand down they will make it very difficult for the Greens to challenge the Westminster […]

It seems pretty clear to me now: Keir Starmer would rather lose to Reform than to the Labour left, which is his real enemy. Any policy that might recover lost ground with voters has to be struck down, as it looks like a concession to the Labour left. And he and his team cannot contemplate that.

It's not that our politicians don't know what's needed to slow #climatechange. It's that they don't care.

Their two priorities are

1. winning the next election, under the UK's absurdly dysfunctional, archaic and undemocratic system;

2. pleasing the big donors, who include the #fossilfuel […]

You should be angry at private companies making massive profits from our taxes to house the most desperate people in appalling conditions... And NOT the people forced to live in them.

Macron: "We were incredibly naive to entrust our democratic space to #socialNetworks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."

Supporters of LibLabCon centrism should be watching what's happening in France, where the centrists have been fighting a desperate battle to remain in control of the country against a majority of further-left and further-right-wing political opponents […]

With less than two years before the next presidential election, Macron's opponents
immediately tried to capitalize on the shocking resignation, with the far-right National
Rally calling on him to either call for new snap parliamentary elections or resign.

“This raises a question for the President of the Republic: can he continue to resist the
legislature dissolution? We have reached the end of the road,” far-right leader Marine
Le Pen said. “There is no other solution. The only wise course of action in these
circumstances is to return to the polls.”

On the far left, France Unbowed also asked for Macron’s departure, while voices on the
left called for the revival of a coalition made up of leftists, socialists, greens and
communists.

@ReggieHere Democracy has been hijacked by Big Business.
Democracy as a thing must be refashioned in order to guard it against the "parody of tolerance". If Germany could outlaw nazism, then other democracies can do the same.

Non-democratic (ie, fascist, authoritarian etc) actors must be […]

European "socialism" is a compromise wherein the population gets services and, in exchange, the rich are allowed to continue to exist. This compromise developed to save capitalism from the threat of the working class just rising up and just doing it all themselves. Revolutions, it turns out, can […]

So depressing to hear that Austria is going full car-crazy, and spending a load of money on roads.
It's the same everywhere; governments SAY they are doing something about the climate emergency (just to shut us up), but then they DO NOTHING.

After clashing with Maurice Glasman recently, I've come to realise just how pernicious he and his Blue Labour movement are. We could discuss his chumminess with Steve Bannon and JD Vance, endless pandering to the far right and evident hatred of the Labour left. But there's something even worse. 🧵
