Just published the first build of a GDTag, a GDExtension that allows you to use tags in Godot, similarly to Unreal Engine's GameplayTags.

It's a little bare-bones but if anyone wants to try it out, give any feedback, report bugs or request features, here it is: github.com/DillaDJ/GDTag

I feel like the "smoothening" of game design over the past decade or so has changed the way many players interact with the art form for the worse.

Friction often serves a purpose.

If something feels unsatisfying, why? Does that feeling contribute to the meaning of what you're experiencing?

Some landscapes from our game #Owlboy. We broke free from traditional tile-sets early, allowing @snakepixel.art to handcraft each background with as much detail as the #Xbox 360 would let us.

Ironically, the game never made it to the 360 - but made it's debut on #Steam in 2016. #pixelart #gamedev

Testing my custom 2D directional lighting system☀️

Godot 2D lights out of the box aren't really fitted for top down games, so I decided to develop my own system using luminosity masks.

Well, it finally happened. Someone trained an AI on my voice, and used it to generate narration for their YouTube video.

Feels pretty bad! Don't like it!

I've submitted a privacy complaint with YouTube - hopefully they'll take it down soon.
