if I offended you (not because I swear) I didn't mean to / you deserved it / sorry
As much as I dislike and criticize Google, I appreciate the subtle difference in how they wrote this compared to... literally every other story I have ever read about politics

10₧s if you can figure out what I'm referencing

>"concerns that the voices shaping global conflict reporting are often narrow and predictable."

My concerns extend far beyond (what is intended by) "conflict reporting". But that's another topic.

A related point made by Neil Postman, many years ago:

I really dislike how the format of this website splits up every thing requiring additional clicks

It's as if our modern communications technology almost always directly impedes actual communication

The reason there is a "deficit" is US govt is nonfunctional & instead of taxing excess wealth, they borrow

Causing the oroboros w/ "interest payments"

That the US is ranked highly in global measures is a testament to how distorted it is - the vast majority of us have zero real freedom or "wealth"

This graph in particular made things very clear

(though missing much of the context explained in the other parts of this thread as well as my voluminous posts everywhere)

(Also very relevant to recent elections, like Zohran Mamdani who is apparently a bit younger than I am)

But here's a screenshot that was one of my more recent uhh what I'll call "clinchers" that pushed my personal conviction from mostly suspecting to more or less knowing

It is relational and relative (but also, that is, itself, illusory)

Which gets awfully complicated (but very simple) with modern communications technology :)

For example here is a screenshot of an article I was reading as presented by default in my browser and a screenshot of the entire text of that article copied into notepad, where the entire article is visible on my screen at once.

Almost all statistics are probably mostly close to accurate, probably

The highlighted text and what I'm definitely not implying idk what you're talking about certainly does not have majorly consequential extrapolations for an increasingly diverse population

I'm not out of order, this courts out of order or something

I think this'll be all from me til after the conclusion of my next sleep

"reflect reality"

Yep, this sure is a-round what is true. Nice, inoffensive, unfalsifiable, unverifiable, #phalanx type reasoning.

Un-less

Amusingly the title of the chapter following that explanation is "The Return of the Demons"

Which, though I haven't read it (re: arbitrary impediments), I am going to guess TLDR:

We fear what we do not understand

More on that later (or earlier if you read my reddit comments)

I would elaborate these next points further but arbitrarily imposed technical difficulties are impeding my reading

Therefore I will err towards less is more

Or they're old which is another major issue. Excuse me sir your time is over

But nah it's cool, it's not like old people refusing to give up control or help younger generations is having any severe irreversible effects on human life

For example, I'm a literal tree hugger but green energy regulation is largely a flat tax on energy which means it makes life unaffordable.

Just don't pollute, clean it if you do

Govt tax incentives are a blight

First is tangentially unrelated, the second's nice & simple

(More good word stuff at No. 2's links)

One of the oldest principles in law that (supposedly) states (TLDR) the aggressor is always the guilty party (duh?)

Surprise! It isn't the lion.

Remember Cecil? Maybe I am a time traveler.

Page three had some of the best though. Not only - definitely not - but specifically one using a word very popular in modern times w/ certain a type of person.

Be cause it doth re lightened my mynde of another olde ayse booke I quoted a lounge thyme a go on yonder reddit

I then did what I do & searched a key word

In this #case: #contempt. Three results and all surrounding text is as wise as expected. I started to highlight some of the best, but by halfway down the first column of page one I had highlighted almost all so I stopped there.
