Brain boxes. Email and inadequately defined data interoperability legislation holds all that together.

Which is to say nothing is preventing a change for the better. Nothing that's not easily changed anyway

An entirely vibes-based observation from reading a lot of first party sources written in different time periods is there is an almost distinct cleavage of thought systems when comparing before & after the world wars. Not unlike what many have noted we are dealing with now.

Anyway here's an ad!

Not sure what grabbed me but I read this entire book yesterday. Good example why more availability is always a net gain. Some were never going to read. For us who will, there's more available. For the others, now they're getting the "spark notes". And maybe an unexpected book will tickle just right

Dang maybe it would just make sense to get rid of the entire scamconomy & go back to actual public benefits administered by an actual government.

Which makes the most sense?

Currency in circulation determined by

- gold/silver/etc in a vault somewhere (eg gold standard)
- what some marketer w/ the title of CEO convinces other wealthy people they can accomplish (eg stonk markets)
- human population because we all have the same needs (reality)

Par for the course. Get em early enough they'll support what they're told & eventually die on camera, becoming a "martyr" for the "movement" like Charlie Kirk.

They think everyone has a price, because they do.

The only thing remotely similar is the illusion created by the "financial industry" where they print counterfeit currency called "shares"

Share the wealth, not receipts.

Receipts don't buy anything

Similar to how "exposure" doesn't buy anything.

The incentives, top to bottom, are backwards

Newsflash that doesn't only happen in sexual relationships. And having society structured to be as oppressive as fucking possible incentivizes and facilitates it in every possible way.

The entire system is engineered to be incompatible with life.

Unless you're born in the right place of course.

My stance is financial information should be public because it is a public interest.

But I understand the counter arguments

Which is not: "I'm incomprehensibly wealthy & hide money wherever the most lax tax laws are at the moment"

It's basically to avoid domestic abusers. There's a lot of them.

As it exists it causes fraud.

But, like "blockchain", if used correctly it could improve things. Such as intentionally duplicate names. Encrypted names are only decryptable w/ the keys. Which is complicated but TLDR data could be simultaneously public & private. And made public only if necessary.

Nano, things have evolved.

But don't tell anyone then they'll have to switch it again so the poors don't catch on & realize working 50+ hrs a week (not counting commute time) & still being unable to afford or even access basic things like housing (etc) is, literally, slavery
In which direction does the value of various size plastics scale? nano -> macro or macro <- nano? And what does that mean? I mean, which side of the text alignment do we drive on here?

We don't have capitalism

We don't have "free markets"

We have a very strictly "planned economy"

It is planned 100% for the benefit of the wealthy. There are no other goals. Because they successfully convinced most of us society is too expensive & living is dangerous & bad so we probably shouldn't

Maybe one day some intelligent people will investigate how these indecipherable systems function or what they are supposed to achieve or enable and teach us how to fix it.

Obviously that's not how things work in reality but surely there's a better way than "idk let bezos have the tv control"
I am endlessly amused the number of fundamental ideas I've arrived at via my own reasoning (though that simplifies & ignores all I've read / learned) where what I think is an obvious idea not stated by (m)any today - has heavy weights from previous generations who agree (in slightly different words)
