You know, the industry I work in is quite special in the sense that if you use AI to my work, everyone would try to slit my throat. It's a comforting feeling, honestly, knowing my clients hate AI cause it would immediately and destructively halt any and all of their work, and that's beautiful.

Sure, the UE5 remake of Halo 1 is a completely unnecessary remake of a 24 year old game, takes dev time that could be spent on a new game, will be priced way too high AND is made using AI tools (why the art director quit,) but it ALSO doesn't run great and has hideous, noisy image quality.

In a way, it's saddening I'm not talking to people who I've trusted my thoughts on for a long time anymore, but at the same time, I do not care and I'm sure they'll do fine without me. It sucks but I do not have the clout to change their minds because their own is solidified and they're right.

Sometimes I'm reminded of that Elira Pendora black screen video on Selen and how, to this day, that video still have comments on. Surely this is different from that, but it should obviously, as a company, disable comments on the videos to avoid more bad PR. Xbox just doesn't care, so fuck them.

City the Animation is so good it turned the dub into a level that is appropriate to show to the people you love that you hopefully don't hate anime in the first nanosecond. A true achievement.

I know I'm late to the party, but I watched episode 5 of City the Animation on a plane ride. And the two middle-aged adults sitting side to side on the plane who have been side-eyeing episodes 2-4 throughout the ride, when this episode hit, theirs and my reactions were priceless. All-timer episode.
