I had a similar reaction to the Ministry album in this tournament (I had a slight headache when I was listening to it IIRC).

I really like DISINTEGRATION and all but personally my vote for "greatest goth album of all time" goes to JUJU.

RE: 1989, one problem imo is that a lot of strong albums (The Creatures, Xymox etc.) barely missed the tournament 😢 and some lackluster fare got in. I’m curious how 2001 will play out, a year some of the younger electorate was more cognizant of (I turned 17!)

It's still early, the pendulum could swing (and there's always the "EPs aren't albums" crowd). Fugazi is a band I admire more than I like outside of a few songs.
