We ended up adopting a kitten a month later, who immediately adopted her as grandma and the two bonded like I've never seen. When she got sick he took care of her, keeping her clean and warm.

Well this is fun. Jack Gruber of USA Today did a pictorial of the "best photos" of 45's parade and one of them was this guy with a caption just describing it as the crowd enjoying the parade. There for the Army, not 45 so much? :) Not clear how he intended it to come across, but oops! :D
