No you're not wrong. Basically he was upset about not getting a Nobel prize, lashed out, made daft threats, but Starmer, Macron etc put him back in his box.

These polls are meaningless because they are not comparing like with like. For example Scotland is not equivalent to say East Midlands. Also London gets it's own mention, but not Liverpool or Glasgow.

These are good questions, but look, UK's actions (since the 60s) have been shameful and this is an ongoing mess. If we could at least acknowledge the right of the Chagossians to their own land we could maybe start going in a different direction.

The best we can do is lease it from Mauritius and stuff the Chagossians? I think if we legally pass ownership to the Chagossians it may not be much help at the moment, but could count for something at some point. Who knows?

Agreed it would be difficult to kick the yanks off but we should try. What's your solution?

I'm all for close cooperation with other democratic nations, to oppose US, Chinese empires etc, but I don't want to be part of an EU empire. It would be just as bad as the other empires.
