Children routinely gunned down in schools. A President who is a deluded fascist. Run by a gang of a psychopaths. It is a complete mystery to me why Canadians and Greenlanders don't want to become Americans.

🤔 Is it right for a shadow attorney general to represent a Russian oligarch while shaping party policy? 🤔

A Labour justice minister has put pressure on the Tories over this very question... 👀

The U.N. is a corrupt entity who allows China, Russia & Iran who are all are human rights abusers to judge Israel. Israel has received more sanctions by the U.N. than any country ever. The U.N. is biased against Israel. Full stop.
Never forget that the UN fired genocide expert Alice Nderitu for refusing to call the war in Gaza “genocide.”

She did say, however, that Hamas’s October 7th massacre targeted Jews with genocidal intent.

Fire the expert, protect the lie—that’s the UN.

It’s tragic, the realization that it will only take dozens of dead Jews for the police to ban chants calling for the death of Jews. And even then, will it make a difference? I doubt it. It feels like it’s far too late.

157 years ago, on the 9th of December 1868, the world's first traffic lights were installed outside the Palace of Westminster in London. It used semaphore arms during the day and green/red gas lamps at night. It had to be operated by a constable. It exploded on January 2nd 1869. #otd #history 🗃️

"Fuck FIFA and fuck Infantino". Well said.
It's an ad break. New shittiness every world cup. This year, we bow to the corporations who run the US, last time we bowed to the murderers and slavers who run Qatar. Fuck FIFA and fuck Infantino.

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

The BBC should counter sue Trump for a trillion pounds for saying it is "corrupt"
Useless at times, also not always impartial, but hardly "corrupt".

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

There is no need for a moral panic about the UK's welfare system.

Far from perfect but recent discourse is nuts

Spending is controlled, not spiralling

Worklessness is near record lows

Dividends not taxed in the UK. Govts have fewer economic levers.
If the government wants economic growth it must bring essential industries into public ownership
Successive governments clobber households and small businesses by hiking interest rates to manage inflation, but don’t inconvenience corporations.

On Yom Kippur— the holiest day for Jews— a synagogue in Manchester became a crime scene.

Two murdered, more injured.

This is what happens when hate is normalised, when Jew-haters are allowed to roam free.

It has to stop.

One reflection talking to other Jews today is how unshocking this is.

Numbing, upsetting, scary but not shocking. We all knew it was coming. Given the enormous rise in antisemitic incidents in recent years, it's a surprise it hasn't happened more often.

Incredible. America’s version of democracy, bloated and made toxic by vast amounts of money- has inflicted this bloated and toxic ego on the whole world. It’s a plague on humanity wrapped in a blizzard of deceit, hypocrisy and utterly incessant BS.

Populism is a justified backlash against hyper liberalism and globalisation. But the backlash against the backlash will be the rediscovery that democratic norms, secularism, and the rule of law are preferable to the rule of monsters and the mob.
