Renquist was later secretly tasked with recovering the Ul'dahn crown which had been stolen.

Upon defeating the mysterious mage behind the theft - with Thancred's help - Renquist was able to meet the Sultana, Nanamo Ul Namo, and invited to a banquet.

Renquist is a character from an online, ttrpg-style game based on FF1. Upon defeating Chaos*, he ends up in the world of #FFXIV.

*A* #WarriorOfLight from one world who becomes *the* WoL in another.

*The game is technically still going, but we all know where it will eventually conclude.

I've basically been playing in an online ttrpg version of FF1 for over a decade and a half, so just used the same character name at first. Eventually got interested in maybe doing rp and started figuring out how to make the two stories (oc from the FF1-based game + FFXIV WoL) fit together.

This account is pretty new and slowly telling his story, so without spoiling specific story points that far out for him, I'll just say SHB/post-SHB has developments that cause him to finally give up on trying to get back to his world... and maybe open himself to the possibility of romance.

Renquist is from the world of FF1 (long story for the why behind that), plus I only started playing a few years ago, so never got to experience pre-ARR. It sort of works with the whole "appears randomly in the desert and is learning all about the world" aspects of the game, imo.

Renquist continued his training with the Thaumaturges' Guild, run by a handful of Lalafell brothers.

One thing he learned is that "magic" is more often called "aether", and he had as much a knack for it here as in his old world, his studies progressing rather quickly.

I also just don't have screenshots for every little quest (tho I do have a crapton in general), even MSQ. I sorta keep my finger on the button then toss ones I don't like/aren't "important enough".

Renquist slowly built a reputation amongst the common folk, getting increasingly bigger jobs, yet he still hadn't gotten any leads on finding his friends.

On a protection job, he got a glimpse of how corrupt some of the local law enforcement, The Brass Blades, can be.

Upon arriving in Ul'dah, Renquist set about trying to find his friends (spoiler: he didn't), as well as getting himself established in this new world.

Magic was the same, yet also... different. He signed up with the Thaumaturges' Guild in order to relearn the basics.

Renquist's story begins in the world we call Gaia, the realm from #FF1.
Without giving a full biography, he became a #WarriorOfLight in that world and along with his older brother and many friends, helped take down Chaos.

I wouldn't share *everything* (that'd be ridiculous), but would people like to see something like a recounting of Renquist's journey/what I consider his "canon" WoL story?
