I haven't really thought far past SHB for personal canon, but this... This could have huge ramifications... and writing opportunities... Hmm... 🤔

I honestly really like this idea. I feel like I'd be really wary of some kid leading a paramilitary group like that, regardless of how intelligent he might be.

His story in FFXIV largely follows the story of the game, but the perspective of the narrative shifts a little with this change in backstory.

I made this account to walk thru his story (and share some of the bazillion screenshots I've taken the last 3⅔ years XD ) with anyone who wishes to follow. 😃

Nanamo, Raubahn, Momodi, and the various guildmasters are his only real friends there. All these years later (because SE's "time bubble" is bullshit), he almost exclusively only goes to Ul'dah if business takes him there.

He's been very vocal in having Ishgard publicly labeled "home of the WoL".

Oh man...

Ul'dah went from being a new, found home, to a place he barely goes if he can help it.

The Syndicate knows he will do what Raubahn did - political consequences be damned - if any of them try anything like what happened before.

The simplicity of this response made me literally lol.

The youngest, Cocobusi, lacked the aetheric capacity of his 5 brothers to wield magics, but still insisted on becoming a Thaumaturge.

Tasked with destroying a cursed artifact, Mormo's urn, Cocobusi appeared and broke the seal before destroying it, the repercussions for doing so as yet unknown...

A golem suddenly rose from the nearby rubble, and the Brass Blades scattered.

After destroying the rock monster, the man who helped protect Lady Lilira - Thancred - appeared, disappointed that he missed the excitement.

And then Renquist's mind was flooded with visions again... of Thancred's past?

Renquist found himself floating in a void, an enormous crystal in front of him. A disembodied voice told him to seek out the Crystals of Light in order to protect the world.

"Again...?" he thought to himself.

He awoke as the sun began to crest the horizon, and they helped the Lady to safety.

A strange creature (which he would later find out was called a voidsent) appeared, and he and someone else looking for Lilira defeated it.

While the man tended to the Lady, Renquist spotted a crystal near the voidsent's body, and strange visions flooded his mind.

As he did in his previous world, Renquist set out as an adventurer. His hope was that maybe in making a name for himself, his friends might hear about him and they could meet up once more.

Gaining the trust of a former soldier, Papashan, he was tasked with finding a missing noblewoman, Lady Lilira.

Renquist awoke in a desert, bereft of his armor, weapons, and other gear... and his Red Mage magics.

A merchant came upon him, offering a ride to the nearby city-state Ul'dah, in the Thanalan Desert - both places he had never heard of before.

Who are these twins keeping silent on the carriage...?

Upon defeating Chaos 1000 years in the past, darkness fell upon all of the warriors, and Renquist, sadly, never saw any of them again.
