I led 20 of my House colleagues in sending a letter to Treasury Sec. Bessent and Homeland Security Sec. Noem urging both departments to dedicate resources to planning for the impending SCOTUS decision on the legality of the President’s tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

Republican leadership is unwilling to call a vote to extend the ACA Enhanced Premium Tax credit. They pulled a stunt by passing a bill that did not contain a single word about ACA credits but the Amercians people are not buying it.

I'm a proud cosponsor of Rep. Tim Kennedy's LEAP Act, which would ensure that students getting advanced degrees that Trump's Admin no longer considers "professional" can still access higher loan caps.

While we mourn the tragic events in Sydney, we are reminded that celebrations for Chanukah should be welcomed as part of our diverse mosaic of cultures and religions. Tonight marks the first night of Chanukah - may the next 8 nights be filled with peace and light.

The Trump Administration’s Environmental Protection Agency is quietly denying us protection from forever chemicals, such as PFAS. Not only is this Administration making our groceries more expensive, but they’re also making them less healthy.

This Administration has proven they have an anti-education agenda that goes beyond picking someone to lead the ED who knows more about pro wrestling than education.

The NY Congressional delegation has urged Trump and USDA to ensure SNAP benefits will be received by New Yorkers without delay. USDA has contingency funds for this exact scenario and has a clear legal obligation do disburse them. The President is making a choice to take food assistance away.

Happy Halloween! Unfortunately this year, even Halloween candy is not immune from Trump’s reckless tariffs. Yet another example of how families continue to be squeezed by rising costs.

A couple in White Plains making $85,000/year will see their healthcare premiums increase by $1,100/month w/o the ACA tax credits. Another example of families being squeezed by rising costs due to House GOP inaction. It's past time to negotiate on healthcare tax credits and reopen the government.

Getting my annual flu vaccine helps keep me healthy throughout the winter season. Science > skepticism.

According to KFF, healthcare premiums in our district will increase on average by 230% if we don’t take action to extend the ACA tax credits. Families and small business owners are getting squeezed by rising costs. We must address these premiums before it’s too late.

Today my staff attended the Westchester County Diverse Ability Job and Resource Fair. They were able to provide information to attendees who may need assistance with the VA, IRS, and Social Security. It is always great to partner with the County on this impactful event.

The Republican majority has cancelled votes for the last month and time is running out before ACA tax credits expire. New York is one of the first states to send out premium notices. If you have received one and seen it increase, I hope you will share it with us here: forms.gle/YFXmEMrbnynS...

Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating in Westchester and the Bronx. May your holiday be filled with joy and light!

Today I joined hundreds of neighbors at No Kings rallies in New Rochelle and Larchmont. The message was clear: Americans do not want a despot. We believe our leaders should abide by the Constitution and uphold the rule of law.

An update from DC: I am here with my colleagues demanding our Republican colleagues come to back to DC to end this shutdown and work with us to make healthcare more affordable.
October 15, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Even though the Republican majority cancelled votes again this week, I’m on the train to DC to work on extending the ACA tax credits and reopening the government. My Dem colleagues and I are ready to get to work on negotiations. It’s time for Republicans to come to the table.

This past weekend I attended the New Rochelle Italian American Heritage Month event at City Hall, as well as other Columbus Day activities in the district. This Columbus Day, we celebrate the great civic and cultural contributions made to our nation by Italian Americans.

Our constituent services team has been out in the community helping residents with issues related to federal agencies and benefits including last week at the New Rochelle Public Library and today at Senior Law Day. Even with the government shutdown, my offices are open.
October 9, 2025 at 8:48 PM
We are one week into this government shutdown and no closer to extending the ACA tax credits. When open enrollment starts next month, families will see their premiums more than double. We need bipartisan negotiations now to extend these tax credits and reopen the government.
October 8, 2025 at 9:35 PM
I spoke with WGCH yesterday about the ongoing shutdown and what failing to extend the ACA tax credits will mean for families. The Big Ugly Bill takes healthcare away from 15 million people. Now millions more could see their ACA premiums double. We cannot let this happen!

I recently attended a moving ceremony for Paul and Orial Redd. The Redds lived in Rye for over 50 years and were civil rights activists who won a landmark housing discrimination case. With Paul and Orial Redd Way, future generations will be able to learn about and honor the Redds’ legacy.

Trump said he’d cut costs on day one. And yet, costs are up across the board because of the reckless tariffs and the Big Ugly Bill, and Americans are feeling it.
