Also, I remember doing follow up on Caspi 2003 and saw that there are actually published null results. Medicine is more honest than psychology. So, track who published?

I am working on finding publication bias in effect size meta-analysis. The standard methods are often not working, but in your case, the g x e focal tests are clear. The main reason for little bias would be multiple DV and only one p < .05 is need to publish. How many articles with no p < .05?

It is always interesting when somebody my age discovers something that is important and new (to me).
I did not know that personality disorders were invented in Nazi Germany to get rid of undesirable people. Innate, untreatable, undesirable = sterilize, murder.

The title is misleading. This paper does not examine actual publication bias. It examines reviewers' competence.
The same reviewers are also authors and will just not submit non-significant results based on the criteria they use to evaluate others work.

New study in AMPPS:

Clinical psychologists favour statistically significant results.

(presumably true in all fields, I'd say. Bias against null findings)

🚨 New publication! Our registered report in Journal of Educational Psychology examines whether common executive function (EF) tasks demonstrated measurement invariance across racial/ethnic groups. Spoiler: they don’t. ⚠️

I just thought of a trick. Use a density plot, remove the original y-axis and put a y-axis with frequencies to scale. :)

A vote for Cuomo is a vote for fascism because Cuomo will roll over like a puppy.

Not sure that an electoral alliance of two sexual abusers is going to be helpful.

And Cuomo is just confirming the view of an increasing number of American voters:
that establishment Democrats have more in common with Trump than them. #VoteMamdani

Breaking News: President Trump discussed interceding in the New York City mayor’s race to try to stop Zohran Mamdani, said people briefed on the conversations.

The fact that Cuomo thinks $2300 is what a homeless single mother *could* afford were it not for Mamdani living there says a lot about Cuomo's view of affordability. He thinks that's dirt cheap when for many working New Yorkers, it's what they need to not be underwater.

This is brilliant. Meanwhile, #CreepyCuomo is on The View trying to scare voters into choosing him. I will not give in to fear tactics by establishment Dems who are incapable of fighting against segregationist Republicans. Cuomo can rocks. #MamdaniForNYC

Fuck Cuomo. Lying piece of shit. Pandering to old voters with crime is the real problem. No, affordability is. Maybe too many of the old voters survived Covid DESPITE Cuomo's failure and horrific deaths in early 2020.

Hey AI-haters.
Undergraduate research papers before AI:
find the first hits in a google search and write about those papers.
With AI:

The densities make it directly possible to compare the histogram with the model prediction (the fit is not clear in the picture you shared).
You can also get the observed Kernel Density distribution with zcurve.3.0, Show.KD = TRUE
email me if you have more questions.

Not sure why you like frequencies, but the prediction should match the predicted frequencies. I guess you can just multiply the y-axis values of the z-curve with the total k (number of studies) times the bandwidth value.

Everytime I listen to Stephen Miller I think of this one angry nerdy bitter kid I went to high school with who used to have just one line in his AIM profile, the Radiohead lyric:

“When I am king, you will be first against the wall”

The year is 2003.

17-year-old Stephen Miller is sitting in the back of a school bus talking about torture, as in “Torture is a celebration of human life and dignity."

Miller looks directly into the camera and describes the torturing Iraqis in gruesome detail, as his peers laugh uncomfortably.

Trump just ordered his secret police to arrest anyone who burns the flag and imprison them for a year. Stephen Miller just issued new threats to arrest leftists.

Every time the fascism escalates, the logic should be that Dem resistance stiffens, as Sen Chris Murphy says in our pod discussion:

Everyone should listen to Chris Murphy's extraordinary warning about Trump on our pod. First, he says the logic must be that the more lawless he gets, the stiffer the resistance.

"If I give in and consent to these kinds of tactics then it just normalizes it all." 1/
