Rep. Summer Lee

Representing the People of PA’s 12th Congressional District. PA’s first Black US Congresswoman. Breaking cement ceilings. She/her.

Committees: Oversight & Government Reform and Education & Workforce.
Corporations are using AI to bust unions and hurt workers.

Republicans can't talk about corporations using AI responsibly in the workplace when they don't even hold them accountable for violating basic worker protections laws.

The way ICE is moving isn't foreign or new.

It's run-of-the-mill American racism and authoritarianism.
February 8, 2026 at 4:40 PM
ICE's abuse isn't new. Black and brown folks have been raising the alarm for decades about state-sanctioned violence by law enforcement. What we need now is to actually dismantle those systems.

As ICE ramps up enforcement efforts across the country, one way to keep yourself and your neighbors safe is to know your rights.

If you have any questions or need support, please don't hesitate to reach out to my office.

Last week, I had the chance to speak with Bethel Park's municipal officials to discuss how I can be a partner for the borough at the federal level. (1/2)

Mr. Rascon's and his family's experience with ICE is heartbreaking.

This is exactly why we have to abolish the agency, prosecute lawless agents, impeach Kristi Noem, and build a system that strengthens our communities instead of tearing them apart.
February 5, 2026 at 9:11 PM
ICE isn't the gestapo––it's deeply American. Recognizing our country's flaws and how history has brought us here will help us move forward.

Once we do that, we need to bring that same energy to build what we know can be a better world that reflects our values.
February 4, 2026 at 8:04 PM
We showed up to ICE to remind our colleagues and the public that we must abolish ICE.

For Keith Porter. Silverio Villegas Gonzalez. For Alex Pretti & Renee Good.

For every community terrorized by this lawless agency. We must move towards accountability: impeach Noem. Abolish ICE. Prosecute agents.

Solidarity with the victims of ICE and the victims of oppressive law enforcement agencies throughout our history.

We know our liberation is tied. So today we're saying abolish ICE, and demanding that no more of our taxpayer dollars go to state-sponsored violence.
February 3, 2026 at 7:02 PM
Let's remember what this is really about––the survivors and victims of Epstein's abuse.

Their courage is inspiring, and they are the reason we are fighting for justice and accountability.

Pepsi might be making your food costs more expensive.

I joined @warren.senate.gov & @nadler.house.gov in pressing PepsiCo and the FTC for answers on their collusion and discriminatory pricing schemes. Big corporations like these don't need more of a break, they need to be held accountable.
February 2, 2026 at 7:57 PM
I spent the past week meeting with local officials and orgs across Westmoreland County to hear what our communities need and how I can support them in Congress.

From uplifting local schools, to environmental justice, to funding for infrastructure projects, I will continue fighting for our region.

We’ve said it time and again: it doesn’t matter who is in the file—Democrat or Republican—we want to ensure there is accountability.

But when Donald Trump or Elon Musk show up in the files, Republicans are deafeningly silent.

They aren’t serious about getting to the bottom of this.

Trump boasts that inflation and prices have gone down, but the numbers don't lie.

In his first year alone, PA families spent over $1,700 more as the cost of groceries, housing, healthcare, and basic necessities went up. Working families deserve better.

The Carnegie Library of Homestead has been central to our community for years, witnessing generations of memories, milestones, and moments of joy.

I am so proud to deliver over $1 million in federal funding to restore the Music Hall and make it more accessible.
January 30, 2026 at 8:09 PM
Just to be clear, the motion to subpoena the DOJ that I forced back in July (almost six month ago!) requires the release of the FULL files, without any loopholes for ongoing federal investigations.

The DOJ is still failing to comply with our lawful subpoena.
January 30, 2026 at 5:33 PM
The Trump administration has been disappearing people off the streets with no cause, no investigation, and no due process. It's unconstitutional and it's a threat to every single one of us.

Two Black Members of Congress were assaulted this week and this is the President’s response to political violence.

An absolute disgrace. Not surprising but still infuriating.

I’m relieved @repilhan.bsky.social and @frost.house.gov are both doing okay.
January 28, 2026 at 2:28 PM
This is a flat out lie.

They want us to ignore and question what we see with our own eyes.

Alex Pretti was supporting his community and protecting his neighbors when ICE murdered him.
January 25, 2026 at 2:41 AM
We cannot allow the federal government to spy on American citizens under the cover of darkness.

I introduced the COINTELPRO Full Disclosure Act, and I hope Rep. Luna and my colleagues will join me to get transparency around these FBI operations.
January 23, 2026 at 6:36 PM
Today we had an opportunity to hold Pam Bondi accountable for refusing to release the full, unredacted Epstein files in accordance with our bipartisan subpoena issued in August last year.

Instead of supporting my amendment, Republicans are allowing her and the DOJ to play us for fools.
January 22, 2026 at 12:34 AM
I just introduced an amendment to hold Pam Bondi in civil contempt of Congress.

Since August, she has been legally compelled by our bipartisan subpoena to release the full Epstein files.

Without the files, we can't have a serious investigation. It's time she answer for her role in this cover up.
January 21, 2026 at 4:33 PM
It's always been abolish ICE.

For the first time, more Americans support abolishing ICE than oppose it. But Republicans are proposing hundreds of millions in funding for this lawless agency.

I'll oppose this bill. We cannot give more money to an agency responsible for terrorizing our communities.

Too many families are living in homes owned by some distant investor who treats them like a paycheck instead of people. This is the result of a system that subsidizes corporate landlords while everyday people struggle to find a safe, stable place to call home. (1/2)
