Current guidance says your pass should cover them regardless of their citizenship.

There are some security features on the front. Namely in the diamond. But the guidance was recently updated to say that adding any “defacing the pass in anyways, including writing on it or adding stickers or other coverings” a form of altering the pass, making it void.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only pass-and-fee fiasco kicking in this week…Have y’all heard parks have started charging more for non-residents? 😭Sadly, it’s true–as of January 1st, the poor Rangers who work in the fee booths have been forced to verify who is American enough for our Parks.

The good news is that there’s a case being fought in the courts right now to put an end to this partisan politicking on our park passes, but who knows how long that will take.

Call your senators! And yes- only yours, no matter if they're democratic or republican. Let's amp up the pressure and kill this amendment before it even goes to a vote!

They depend on our weariness, our exhaustion, so that they can push things through in cowardly back door moves. But we're fueled by our love for ecosystems, places, animals, and the knowledge that future generations deserve these places too.

We've asked you this before. We know it feels like a never-ending fight.

But as park rangers, we're also students of history. We know this is how we protect the places, people, and things we love. We keep showing up, time and time again.

Lee wants to cut language that prevents parks from being sold. The amendment would also roll back requirements parks to have Federal staffing (AKA, park rangers). We need you to call your senators ASAP. Tell them to oppose the Lee amendment #3972.

Rangers - they're asking you to lie about your performance and deflate your performance scores.

Why? They say its not for a "quota" and that there isn't a set # of people who can get above a 3 out of 5 score. But then we're told if more than 70 or 80% of people get above a 3, to lie and change it.
