I used to recommend combo 3 from dynasty on Willow. $50 order means free delivery!

No clue. Doubt it's nefarious, perhaps medics not present for meetings due to myriad reasons where these decisions are decided?
December 8, 2024 at 2:50 PM
Perhaps there is a jointly made decision in some places; however at least in my experience I have yet to see medics involved with visitation policies. Almost always nursing who decides the policies and enforces them

That guy Adam Thomas did the above years go when he was with us and looked like a magician.. or Jedi?

I completely agree. For those who see sick everyday, the only real benefit of ACLS and the other alphabet courses is the teamwork training IMHO
December 8, 2024 at 12:03 AM
I think you said on twitter in past and I agree, ACLS beauty is in the teamwork and group dynamics

Changing gears, would love the nurses to pick up the probe. korbin Haycock has his nurses welding the probe so imagine a world where nurses have pocus images ready when RRT arrives? I have a dream!

Always terrific threads

Evidence free response, mainly my observations over the years, incoming:

Often IHCA are not vf/vt, and mostly PEA. IMHO, ACLS not terribly helpful... But provides structure for teams to anchor around so I could see some education benefit for that

another reason why nursing needs to learn the value of pocus and embrace picking up the probe!

#3 olanzapine is great for nausea/vomiting

olanzapine hits the D2, M1, H1, and 5HT3 receptors so it's like the meropenem of anti-emetics

olanzapine is effectively a combination of ondansetron plus prochlorperazine

the main side-effect is sedation, but in many situations, that's kinda helpful
