what endevaour looks like. those 3 tubes at the front are searchlights, which sadly I cannot showcase in space engine

Rama and Endevaour. Encounter at the sundial. in-game space engine. Endevaour is built from space engine spaceship assets, with some mesh tweaks to suit my taste

most of the detail is baked from a high poly model created with the help of randomflow

haven't done much these past few months, but i return with some quick "Rama" from Arthur C. Clarke's novel.

even though its described specifically to be featureless, ignoring that has to be number one rule for making your own version

firguring this out sort of woke me up to finish more backlog custom-made worlds I had in my mind. Here's Strandbeest's planet, for example.

overlayed the concept / boxy model over what I have so far

textured the intake scoop. added the propellant tanks

new intake scoop. no textures yet

I spent hours trying to figure out how to create star-planet binaries (those produced by large planets, like jupiter) in space engine, with the help of universe sandbox. wasn't hard since its basically numbers you can copy and paste, but this was in my backlog for almost a decade, which is wow wtf

detailed exploration of the propulsion bus. no clear idea of how to angle the engines outward, but this might not be the final form it'll take
April 13, 2025 at 5:00 AM
Added the thethers that go in-between the scoop and the yet-to-be modeled propulsion bus (engine, fuel tanks and reaction chambers)

intake scoop, in detail

highlighted area are the engine plumes at an angle, in order to avoid the crew and cargo modules at the rear

concepts of an interstellar ramjet, as a tether colony ship. scoop, fuel and engines at the front, crew / cargo at the back. both sides protected with dust shields

my own take on @triplchii.bsky.social interstellar vehicle, flying past saturn with its engines at full power. rendered in-game thanks to @spaceenginesim.bsky.social

my most extensive project is "Chandelier", a 12.5km long interstellar vehicle, inspired in "Project Valkyrie", named after its extensive exhaust plumes, as explained in the image below www.artstation.com/artwork/ao2Aq2

anyways, i'm here now. i like doing spaceships in blender as a hobby. that's about it
