Because Canada often finds itself as the friend in the group who's always two months behind on the news, Mark Carney included significant AI investments in his federal budget and even assigned noted fraudster Evan Solomon as minister to oversee gov't development of AI.
Excerpt from the news site ArtNet: The Canadian Daily alleges that Solomon, host of the Television show Power and Politics, earned lucrative commissions, worth at least $300,000, over two years for facilitating the sale of art work belonging to Canadian collector Bruce Bailey. Solomon reportedly sold paintings by Peter Doig and Kim Dorland to at least two high-profile buyers, the governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney and Blackberry founder Jim Balsillie.

Of all of Carpenter's films, Prince of Darkness was the one that really tested me. Deeply, deeply unsettling, and I don't just mean Jameson Parker in a moustache, though that should have tipped me off about the rest of the film.
