The people of Minnesota expressly DO NOT want to live in a community riddled with rapists and violent men - which is why they want ICE to get the fuck out.

I wrote this warning in 2022. Now, almost 4 years later, we see record ICE arrests where:
- more than 90% arrested have no criminal record
- more than 90% arrested are Black or brown, and
- more than 90% killed are Black or brown.

For years I worked on migrant rights projects whose goal was community action against deaths and detention of displaced people. Four people dying in detention in the first ten days of the year is truly a shocking, horrifying statistic. It's a preventable atrocity.
“The deaths included two migrants from Honduras, one from Cuba and another from Cambodia, and occurred from January 3-9, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

"At least 30 people died in ICE custody in 2025, the highest level in two decades, agency figures showed.”
“Four migrants died while in custody of U.S. immigration authorities over the first 10 days of 2026, according to government press releases, a loss of life that followed record detention deaths last year under President Donald Trump.” www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

ICE activities every day are becoming the prologue to a Liam Neeson film.
A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

I've argued for this here in Canada. Police are given extraordinary authority and, as such, should also be beholden to a higher degree of responsibility for such.

We have special driver's tests and licensing for semi trucks because they carry greater risk, but invert the logic for police?
Let me give you a thought experiment:

Imagine not just a ban on qualified immunity for authority, but a reversal; a new legal framework, under which authority bears greater responsibility than civilians in matters involving force—as it should.

This should be headline news.

LNG can't claim the credit, it was the enormous amount of renewables China installed last year - enough to power all of Canada.

And oil will be next to fall, with over half of vehicles sold in China now EVs.

Canada needs a new export strategy.

This is completely fucking unacceptable. Shut this terrorist government down until it stops brutalizing its own citizens.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.
