Alex Jones has asked the Supreme Court to immediately put his almost $1.5 billion defamation judgment on hold, citing the imminent threat of InfoWars being handed over to The Onion.

If there isn't a stay, "InfoWars will have been acquired by its ideological nemesis and destroyed," the filing says.

the other conservative tell was the minnesotan friends mentioned who live in the burbs (a grip are v conservative here) without advice because a weird amount of white suburban conservatives here who don’t come to minneapolis still think it’s on fire since 2020 (?????)

this feels spiritually & canonically from a republican who lived on miracle mile or actually in the chicago suburbs

like i live & work in walking distance to this area

it’s a complaint about seeing homeless people in public spaces near transit & various service spots which every city has

Did we stay in the wrong area?
...
Just visited Minneapolis with my wife and 6 year-old son over the weekend. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency since Hyatts are nice enough and we wanted restaurants & bars within walking distance. We had a LOT of fun and really liked the places we patronized (Bruhaven, Brit's pub, Sushi Train to name a few) and the sights (including Minnehaha falls). But a lot of the walks to and from the hotel felt very... iffy.
And I want to say that we lived in downtown Chicago (which is in no way perfect or devoid of crime or seedy areas for maaaaaaany years. This isn't a criticism or comparison. I'm just mentioning this to emphasize that l'm not an anti-city suburbanite complaining about general city issues.
But I don't think l've ever felt as high-alert walking with my son down a city street. Even walking to get a coffee at 10am on a Saturday. A lot of people tweaking out or passed out on the sidewalk, or yelling profanities at anyone that walked by. We saw multiple fights on the way to coffee.
Is there better area for us to stay next time that also isn't pure tourist-trap?
We plan to come back and stay downtown. We have several friends near the cities (in various suburbs) but they don't often actually go downtown often, so they didn't have much us advice.

If you know basic kabbalah it's actually not too hard to make a golem out of a labubu. Don't recommend it though. They have a pre-existing body-dharma. As soon as they wake they run straight for the sea. V hard to counter. Lost the first one. No idea what it's doing out there. Moved like lightning.
